Here is a sample of our achievements in PR and communications, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, internal communications and copy writing and editing:
AAH Pharmaceuticals: retained by the UK’s largest pharmaceutical distribution company, we reviewed its internal communications activities to develop and introduce a new intranet and information sharing platform for employees for formal and informal communications at more than 20 sites around the country.
Conduent: research and market intelligence for Conduent, a US based global transport company, we have provided marketing intelligence on transport issues and prepared specific commercial and public affairs briefs to help them pitch for, win and manage contracts with local and national transport authorities in the UK including car parking, road tolling and smart ticketing.
Eltham College: for a leading independent school in south-east London, worked as Head of Communications to review and improve the school’s communications. This included a complete overhaul of the school’s Mission and Aims; a review and refresh of marketing and PR collaterals, both digital and printed and a complete revamp of the school’s website and a new high-quality school ‘Elthamian’ magazine for parents, staff students, and alumni replacing a suite of disconnected publications. We also created diversity and inclusion initiatives and entered and won awards for Eltham for the first time – AMCIS, Tes Awards and, above all, Sunday Times School of the Year 2024.
Galore Park Publishing: this well-known schools publishing company commissioned Epsilon to help develop and promote a new ‘Independent Curriculum’ concept for schools – including market research amongst the teaching community plus a programme of media relations and marketing support that achieved national and sectoral press coverage.
Greater Anglia: PR and communications for the train company Greater Anglia, We designed and delivered a comprehensive and phased communications programme targeted at passengers, stakeholders, media and staff for Greater Anglia to help them test, introduce and launch more than 1,000 new trains as part of their £1.6 billion investment across East Anglia. This programme comprised stakeholder engagement, media relations, press and customer testing events, factory visits and employee communications plus customer communications via social media channels and in-person consultation forums that all helped drive up levels of awareness and a positive reception for the new trains.
Greener Journeys campaign: acting as an interim Communications Director for bus campaign group, Greener Journeys, we worked with the Chief Executive and wider secretariat to develop and publicise reports promoting the socio-economic and environmental value of bus travel across the UK. This included engaging journalists, organising press and stakeholder events, and developing PR campaigns including ‘Bus for Jobs’ to promote free bus travel to help jobseekers access employment and training opportunities.
Northern Rail: working as interim Head of External Relations at Northern Rail, one of Britain’s largest train companies, we developed the narrative and key messages of the “A Railway the North can be proud of” campaign with 10 keys ‘asks’ for investment and improvements to rail services northern England. We developed promotional collaterals (print, online, film) and launched the initiative to the media, MPs and stakeholders across the North and at Westminster. This initiative led to Northern achieving their highest-ever level of stakeholder favourability (90%).
Transport Scotland: Workstream Lead supporting Transport Scotland on the communications for the renationalisation of Scotland’s two railway franchises (ScotRail and Caledonian Sleeper), creating communications channels and public affairs understanding with key political authorities, and the HR and communications teams of respective train companies to ensure aligned and bespoke messaging for stakeholders, media and company employees.
